Another year has nearly came and gone.  Goodbye 2016 & hello 2017!!!  Wow!!!  To say time flies is the mother of all under statements.  Going into the NEW year I want to encourage you to not take old mindsets, hurts, disappointments, scars, fears, or anything else of the like with you.  Leave anything that harms or hinders you from your PAST in your PAST.  Take experience, knowledge, lessons learned, wisdom, hope, fond memories, and excitement for the future with you into 2017.  You cannot change the past, but your future is an unwritten story, a blank canvas, an opportunity for greatness, joy, peace, love, fulfillment…………………

Do not allow disappointments, failures or loss prevent you from having hope and a new, fresh perspective as you are poised on the threshold of a new year.  As long as you are alive, there is hope and possibility for change, growth, development, and progress.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.”-Hebrews 12:1 NLT

What “trips you up?”  Is it unforgiveness (for yourself or someone else)?  Whatever it is, I challenge you to release it, bury it, let it go.  I hear someone saying, “You don’t know what you’re talking about, it’s not that simple…. You don’t understand.”  You know what, I probably don’t understand and I know it’s not easy, but do it anyway!!  That pain, unforgiveness, hatred, sorrow, you feel in the blank with whatever it is you’re holding onto isn’t worth your life or your future.  It’s killing you….it’s poisoning you and everyone you come into contact with.  LET IT GO!

You have a race to run, a life with purpose to fulfill.  There are people that need you.  God doesn’t make mistakes and He created you on purpose for a purpose.  Begin today to embrace that and take steps toward fulfilling it.  Carpe Diem!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!  God bless you today and always!!!!
